First Call

Got my first phone call a few minutes ago. The lady on the other end was a bit unhappy with me. Let me see if I can remember all the words that I can share, scumbag, vulture, cruel, insensitive, all being screamed at me. Thank goodness. My letters are working.

I do feel for her, but I’m trying to help folks sell their properties they need to get rid of. I’m not trying to and will never swindle folks.

I did pick up a gleam of information from her. I’m not the only one sending letters. 5 others may have been her exaggeration on her part, but its good to know. I went back and checked her name, it is one pulled from the paper. If I were to guess I’ll likely be one of the only ones paying to pull directly from the county. Here’s hoping for the next phone call.

LOL I know exactly how you feel Bilge! I’ve been on the receiving side of that phone call before.

Just try to remember that it’s a numbers game; soon someone will call that’s willing to take you up on your offer.

  • Been waiting for one of those calls myself. Everyone has been very friendly, some even joking around with me. When people lose a loved one, it takes each person a different amount of time to get through the grieving process. This lady sounds like she is still in the middle of it.

Sounds like you handled it well and i’m looking forward to hearing about the next call.

Also, did you change the theme on your site? looks good!

Yikes. I’ve been hung up on before too but fortunately he didn’t call me any names before he hung up. LOL!

I suspect with probate this is going to happen every once in a while but like you said, your intentions are good.

I certainly don’t enjoy those calls and I’m sure it will get easier, but it doesn’t set the tone for an evening to well.

Yep Scott, I want to do more to spruce it up a bit, but for now this is much better then the website I had before.
